With a formula that dates back to the 19th century - when it was produced in a pharmacy in the village of Lousã - Licor Beirão has spanned decades with a popularity that is undeniably linked to its irreverence. It is at Quinta do Meiral (still in Lousã), that the founder's son and grandchildren make the magical flavour and aroma of O Licor de Portugal endure over time. Some of the plants and aromatic seeds used in its manufacture are produced here, allowing full control of their quality. Unanimously recognized as the right answer to "What do you drink here?"
